“I didn’t think that taking wedding photos would be like this”, Merkka said laughing while we were taking the last photo on this post. It was pitch dark, I was crouching behind them with my flash and Jouni was setting up his camera to take (half of) the shot. So, not the typical scene you’d imagine when someone mentioned wedding photos. Before that they had taken a small boat out on the bay with one of our flashes so that we could take the second to last photo on this post.

Merkka & Olli are every wedding photographer’s dream couple. AND they have the cutest dog ever who’s idol is Hasselhoff. In love yet?

Why we love these two? It’s simple: because they’re awesome. How can you not love a couple who
a) followed us to a rainy forest for a photography session when we first met them
b) inserted a lot of personality to their photos with their own ideas
c) were willing to follow us and our crazy ideas
d) were completely themselves which allowed us to capture awesome, real moments

We are emotionally invested in everything we do and I have a bad habit of keeping our work hidden, so to speak. Blogging is still hard sometimes, because posting photos to the public means than I’m letting my children go (not that I’m dramatic or anything, ehhh…). But because I can’t tell the story of this wedding day without photos, here we go. One of the best days ever. ♥
