We had our wedding in August 2023 at the German Church & Villa Andania in Kallahdenniemi in Helsinki – Johanna’s work was professionally efficient and relaxed throughout, and the photos are stunning. We also liked especially that Johanna managed to capture not only the atmosphere and people but also a lot of situations, details and things that we ourselves completely missed in all the hassle – it’s great that through the pictures you can dive into your own wedding party afterwards, as if again and again from different perspectives. We had put a lot of effort into the food, the decorations and the bar, but it was only Johanna’s photos that gave us an idea of what everything really looked like.
The mini session a couple of months before the wedding was also a really good thing – it was nice to get to know Johanna then already, so she felt familiar & safe and at the wedding we didn’t have to worry about this anymore…
There was a lot of good feedback from the guests about Johanna and her work – some of them said they regretted that they hadn’t hired a professional photographer for their wedding themselves, but had relied on some relatives. Personally, I particularly appreciate the fact that as a professional photographer Johanna can be pleasantly in the background, but always in the right place and much closer than an amateur (amateurs always get in the way and think they are the main character in the party…).
Also, all the “administrative” stuff went really smoothly and quickly – pricing was clear and fair, and delivery & uploading of photos etc worked well.
