The Adventure Continues on Instagram

No matter if you’re planning a big or a small we No matter if you’re planning a big or a small wedding, it will probably be stressful. Whereas our wedding involved the unknowns of the pandemic and I didn’t even know if my maid of honor would be able to make it until the night before the wedding and other stuff like that - weddings involve parts that need to be organized no matter how many guests there are. After going through the hurdles I changed the way I am as a photographer and want to be a little support system you can lean on while planning your own wedding 🫶🏻 I’ve seen so many weddings and know what works, and you can use this knowledge for your own advantage ❤️ After seeing white dresses for years, I knew that I wanted something different. I didn’t choose pink and black because getting married the second time you’re not supposed to wear white - I wore it because pink will forever be my favorite color and black looks better on me than white. Do not listen to other people when choosing your wedding style; you can wear whatever you want! It is your day 🫶🏻 Had I known this would be the last big family gathering before my parents passed away, I would’ve spent extra time hugging them. But all in all it was the perfect last celebration in the middle of nature, surrounded by hundreds of twinkly lights, self made donuts, a caramel cheesecake and the most simple delicious food ever. I will forever hold the memories deep in my heart, hugging them tight. Whenever I’m out there creating memories for my couples, I will know on a deeper level how precious the memories will be when time passes the people we love ❤️ In a world full of opinions and traditions, learn to listen to your own voice and follow it wherever it takes you. Small intimate weddings are way undervalued and we chose the combination of intimate wedding and a big celebration later. The past few years I was so burnt out that at time The past few years I was so burnt out that at times I didn’t even know if I wanted to be a photographer anymore. After finding an angel sent from God, my therapist who is a student and I’m sort of like a practice case, I’ve come to learn that it has never been about not wanting to be a photographer. The way my eyes light up when I’m talking about the things I’m passionate about doesn’t tell the story of someone who want to quit. I just didn’t believe in myself and I don’t know how that happened. I guess after the turmoil of losing my parents, I lost the ground I was standing on and it took a while to find my own. I haven’t really believed that I’m a good photographer, not until now. Crazy isn’t it? Wedding photographer for 16 years didn’t believe in herself. Last week I was delivering prints and one of my clients (a mom of a groom) said “I hope you have lots of clients because you’re such a good photographer!” And while things might be a little bit challenging at the moment, I truly believe that yes, I should have lots of clients because yes - I am such a good photographer 💪🏻 But at the same time, I know I’m a photographer even if my business were to completely fail and I refuse to let the fear of the unknown change anything about my passion. Taking a trip to know myself, to face my demons made me realize I have a gift from God and I shouldn’t waste it by doubting myself. Sometimes more is more 🔥 But also less… in al Sometimes more is more 🔥 But also less… in all the good ways. One hour photo sessions end up usually feeling rushed. You start warming up after a little while and if we only have an hour, we’re leaving a lot of magic on the table because by the time we finish, you’re just starting to get relaxed and I’m starting to REALLY get a hang of who you are as a couple and see how your chemistry works ❤️ 6 hour engagement session? You’d be surprised how quickly time passes especially if ✨ You want a mixture of city & nature vibe ✨ You want to change outfits to fit the different vibe of locations ✨ You want to add some sort of activity into your photography session Not only will more hours mean more variety but it also means less stress and sooo much more relaxation when you don’t really need to worry about time 🫶🏻 While I still do offer shorter 2 hour sessions as well for sessions in one location and one outfit, I wholeheartedly believe that you will get more bang for your buck with 6 hour sessions or two or three day sessions. Life is short and spending quality time adventuring together as a couple gives such a nice break from this fast paced world we’re living in 🫶🏻 Imagine yourself with your loved one, walking down the streets of your favorite city, sipping some bubbly in your favorite cafe and driving to a remote nature location to feel the fresh breeze of wind and rumbling sound of waves… and cuddling closer with the one you love ❤️ Not a bad way to spend a day in Helsinki metropolitan area 😍 #kihlakuvaus #hääkuvaus #engagementphotos #adventureengagement #thebestexperienceportraitadventure
