Last year we received email from Niina. It got us excited right away. Two Australians eloping in Finland, in the beautiful surroundings of Porvoo, where Niina was born. An intimate backyard wedding with only a few people to witness this beautiful moment.
It almost felt like being destination wedding photographer in some other country – the setting was kind of not like Finland at all.
Maybe it was because we’re so used to church weddings. Maybe it was the language.
The weather was also perfect when we arrived there and met Niina and Aaron for the first time. Niina wore a beautiful dress made out of recycled plastic. Aaron wore a Marimekko tie. They were definitely one of the cutest couples of this summer.
Afterwards we wandered around the streets of old town in Porvoo. An encounter with a cat and other awesome moments. What an awesome day it was.
We are so happy that we got to be a part of this. As a photographer, you definitely get to see many, many happy moments. It never gets tiring. The amount of love and happiness that surround us is incredible – we are truly blessed.
