The decision to write these posts in English has brought awesome people into our lives. Maybe it does not make sense at first, but we think there’s a reason why we both love English. We’ve listened to music in English all of our lives, watched TV with series spoken in English and because we’re both really into computers and stuff, Internet introduced us a whole different world back in the 90’s. Internet has played a huge role for this business as well.
Somehow someone found the first wedding photos we took back in 2008. From that moment on, we got emails from couples who loved what we had done and wanted us to photograph their special day. From families who wanted us to photograph them. It still feels so humbling every time there’s new inquiries in our inbox.
One day we received email from Jessica, asking if we are available to shoot her wedding. Her friend who had attended a wedding in Finland (which we photographed) told her about us.
Jessica & Lars are getting married next Saturday. Jessica is half Finnish, half Swedish. Lars is Danish. They met in Australia. They live in Switzerland. They chose to get married in Finland because she has spent every Summer and Christmas here. Maybe you guessed already that they love to travel.
With their engagement session we were able to cover Finnish Summer with the help of Nuuksio National Park and their love for the outdoors and nature. They were willing enough to do every little weird thing we asked them to do and we spent amazing evening together. We even might have trespassed private property at some point. Oops!
Next Saturday we’ll cover Finnish Winter and something completely different. We are praying for awesome, snowy weather.
We can’t wait.

Wow! That wide shot with them on the other side of the dark pond is amazing; that would make a great wall print.
