It’s been one meowlicious year with Sylvi & Selma. At the beginning they hid underneath our bed or on shelves and we wondered if they’re ever going to feel like they’re home. Months went by and one paw at a time they became a part of our family.
We have learned many things about these two…
Selma has picked Jouni as her human. Sylvi has picked me. Where Selma is mostly a princess, Sylvi is bit of a tomboy. Selma has the cutest high meows, Sylvi’s meows seem hoarse sometimes. Sylvi demands attention more loudly but Selma is more patient with her meows. They talk to us daily. It’s impossible to teach Selma to give her paw before getting a treat because she just doesn’t want it enough. Sylvi on the other hand; she rises to stand on her back paws and could eat everything at once. Whenever she hears me calling for her and mentioning the word “herkku” (treat in Finnish), she comes running. But Selma does want to go outside so, so badly. So, I’ve managed to get her to sit down and mark my hand with her chin before opening the door.
And we love them. So much. They are the perfect little companions.
We are forever grateful to their previous owners for trusting them to us. Thank you ♥
Here’s a year worth of cat photos. Because THERE ISN’T A THING CALLED “TOO MANY CAT PHOTOS”. You’ve been warned.
These photos were taken today. A glimpse of a day in the life of Sylvi & Selma; playing, asking to go outside, posing, playing some more and being friends.
