Thankful

As I’m sitting here, my hair wet after taking a long jog and a hot shower, I can’t help but feel thankful. For whatever life has brought my way, I’m right where I want to be. I’m free.

Today I’m thankful for my pink running shoes that take me to roads untraveled. For my eyes that allow me to see the world through the lens. For my ears and all the music I can hear.

I’m thankful for loving my husband unconditionally and him loving me back the same way.

I’m thankful for God for making things tough sometimes because without the bad I can’t be thankful for the good things in my life. I’m thankful for my parents for bringing me up the way they did. I’m thankful for all the people photography has brought to my life. I’m thankful for my family and my extended family.

I’m thankful for Naksu for being my office pal during the (sometimes) lonely days.

I’m thankful for my friends for being there when I need them but also giving me space when I want to be alone. I’m thankful for my emotional character that sometimes makes me cry at the weirdest things.

I’m thankful for being alive.

I’m thankful for 2013. Whatever happens in the future, I’ve found my voice this year and that is something that can never be taken away from me.
