Itsenäisyyspäivä. Mieli on täynnä kiitollisuutta. Kiitollisuutta vapaudesta, turvallisesta elämästä. Olo on iloinen. Vastasataneen lumen ja itsenäisyyspäivän kunniaksi lähdimme pienelle metsälenkille kameroiden kanssa. Suuri elämänmuutos elokuun jälkeen on pistänyt elämän mullin mallin ja hyvin vauhtiin lähtenyt elämäntapamuutokseni koki pienoisen takapakin. Muutamaa kiloa rikkaampana olen taas alkanut hieman kainostamaan kameraa. Mutta tässä tilanteessa olen taas huomannut sen…
Vanhemmillani on vanha kylmälaukku. Tiedättekö, sellainen styroksista tehty, parhaimmat päivänsä nähnyt vihertävä kapistus. Se on jo nähnyt elämää, kokenut kolhuja ja elämän jäljet näkyvät pinnassa. Mutta aina se vain porskuttaa eteenpäin. Veljeni onkin sen nimennyt uudenkarheaksi. Minulla on vähän samanlainen olo nyt, kun uudenkarhea elämäni alkoi. Sieltä se tuli. Odotettu elokuun 8. päivä, viimeinen työpäiväni…

This month has been hectic – we’re moving in a week! Once we got rid of all the people doing a bathroom renovation to this apartment, our life’s been pretty much about living among stack of boxes.
